Summer: A Photo Dump In Memoriam

Summer is drawing to a close, which makes me unbelievably sad. I like fall and whatever, but summer is really my favorite season. It occurred to me that I haven't really posted many photos lately. And then it occurred to me that I haven't really taken many photos lately. And the ones I have taken have been with my phone. Bad blogger!

So here are some photos of things that happened this summer. Mostly food.

The beginnings of my container herb garden.

Roasted strawberries. My oven smelled amazing.

Roast strawberry balsamic vinaigrette. Amazing. I used this recipe.

Dogfish Head brewery in Rehoboth Beach. Delicious food. Delicious beer. Huge tab.

Our perch in Rehoboth. We had a great view of the fireworks.

The fireworks display in Rehoboth was really good!

Tomato, basil and feta for lunch. Fresh tomatoes are one of my favorite things about summer.

Boyfriend made a lot of sushi this summer. Like, a lot. These are veggie rolls all for me!

Mom and I picked all the blueberries.

Just Cupcakes for Boyfriend's birthday.

Amazing tofu red curry from Esaan.

This is what a 600 calorie cocktail looks like, in case you were wondering.

Mama's garden produced way more peppers than she could use. My most recent canning project – pickled hot peppers.

On Monday we went to the York Fair. It was meh. Mostly I enjoyed smelling food everywhere.

For the record, I should not be allowed into petting zoos, ever. I always leave feeling bad. But I do love petting some cute animals.

This little zebra was the only animal who wanted anything to do with me. He was a snuggler.

So what's the verdict, friends? Did you have a satisfactory summer?

Can we please discuss the roasted strawberries??? What is the story on THOSE? Honestly, in all my foodie experiences, I have never heard of this. I need details.

    :)
